My new carpet

For years we had a little Westie named Mackenzie ...cute as a button. As she got older she started wetting in the house...finally I had to crate her when we were out. Anyway she was particularly tough on our bedroom carpet. She died a while ago so finally we decided to rip up the old wall to wall carpet.


I decided to do carpet tiles so I could pull one up if it  needed  to be replaced, you know just in case. (We still have a 14 year old cat and a 10 year old lab) It was easy to do. I opted for the carpet tiles at Home Depot. I looked at Flor but it was so expensive... here are some pics.

The top picture is the finished room, with Bailey checking it out. The second picture is the floor when I first started with the old carpet pulled up. They say to snap chalk lines and start in the middle but we wanted to just push the bed over to one side and... well you get the picture make it easy on ourselves. It's clean and done...well except for the closet !

I turned 60

It was a hard age to turn...60  !

Not because I feel old, I don't...but other people think your old. That's how I use to look at 60...in my 30's and 40's.

Now that it has happened to me I gotta say I am getting use to it.

'Cause people tell you you don't look 60....I am not sure what that means...but I am. I intend to live the next 30 (or whatever I have left) with gusto !

And this is the beginning of blogging again. Because I love to read other peoples blogs. When I tell someone I read it on a blog -they say "a what?"

 I still don't understand why I am explaining what blogs are next time I'll just tell them to look mine up ! Chris
